[apex of frivolity]

| | Comments (0)

Our drill kind of crapped out this week, so I ordered one with three times the volts from Amazon. Until it arrives many of our remaining projects are on hold -- putting the wall-mounted IKEA shelves up, hanging art, building the shed, etc.

But one thing we did do in the last week was learn of the existence of a series of [adult swim] vinyl figures from Kidrobot. I must confess, I've seen many of these kinds of figures in various comic book and sundry pop culture stores over the years and always thought they were ridiculous -- $10 for a little toy that you can't really do anything with other than display, and you don't even know which one you're getting?!? And yet, I had to have them. Or some of them, at least; I didn't really need Assy McGee. But I needed enough of them that the case of 25 we found for $138 on eBay seemed like a good deal, so we bought it. The good news? Check out how fun they are!

The bad news? No Monarchs! It's one of the most common figures, distributed at 3/25, and we got zero. Dare we buy another case in search of one (and a second full set for my office)?
