The first Breeders record in nine years came out a couple days ago, finally following up on the surprise success of 1993's Last Splash. Title TK has been in progress for a few years itself, following an aborted record in the mid-90's and Kim Deal's side project, the Amps' only release, Pacer. One of the "new" Breeders tunes is actually a reworked Amps song; "Full on Idle" appeared in its original lo-fi incarnation on Pacer back in 1995.

The good news is that Title TK, while not being a revelation along the lines of Last Splash or Deal's work with the Pixies, is a really good record that hopefully bodes well for the band's future, as long as my saying that hasn't jinxed their next release into a 15-year purgatory.
