I can't stop listening to Spoon's "Believing Is Art". (3.9MB) Their 2001 release, Girls Can Tell, is a solid album and a definite progression from their earlier material. "Lines in the Suit" and "10:20 AM" are memorable songs as well but, for all this spectacular brain chemistry, I can't stop hearing "Believing Is Art". I can't think of any other rock song that uses minimalism so well and still retains a driving sound. Spoon's upcoming LP, Kill the Moonlight, is available as an audio stream at mergerecords.com; I suggest you check it out and then try to guess why Elektra dropped these guys. 2002/08/07

This week's new Sooth from Sophie is exactly what you need if you're interviewing to be a Rastafarian priest. And even if you're not, it'll still probably help you out at least a little bit.
